Hey guys,
Hope this post finds you well!
Not posted anything for over 2 weeks so here's my latest update.
Played Europrotour Tour qualifying 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately a very cold putter left me finishing t-120 out of 250 players. Was very disappointed as my ball striking was top draw. 80% fairways and 65% g.i.r. Shooting 2 79's against pars of 73 and 72 left me head scratching! However this will give me category 13 for the season which should mean entry into 10 events if I have the funds available.
Last week i went to work on the putting stroke....did some great work on the stroke. I have been using the Stan Utley learning curve for over a year and felt my stroke couldn't get much better. However after looking at it on video, i realised there was far too much face rotation. I bought a putting guide from eyeline golf which really has help me get the ball starting online. After this great work I was looking forward to the latest Players tour event at Wilmslow golf club. The course was in good condition, but the greens had undergone yearly maintenance which meant major aeration holes. There was rough at all around the course which meant a low scores were still assessable Rounds of 74, 74 left me trailing behind the winner by 10 shots.
I have 10 days off from competitive golf. I could of played at Wensum valley in the Europrotour starting on the 26Th April but have decided to give that a miss and get my game ready for the busy months ahead.
Thanks to everyone who have been supporting me!
Thats all for now
Scotty!

Stage 1 Europrotour......what a week!
Hello everybody,
Just thought I would update after playing stage 1 Europro qualifying. The venue was due to be Slaley Hall, Northumberland. I travelled up on Monday and played 18 holes. The weather was really bad and most of the course was under water. After 9 holes off practice on the Tuesday the weather really took a turn for the worse and the course became unplayable.
The PGA made the decision to cancel the event from this venue and move to De Vere Oulton Hall in Leeds which I had never played before. As the PGA Europrotour were keen on making sure 36 holes of qualifying were played it meant no practice!!
I made contact with Chris Hanson who had played there quite a few times and got some inside knowledge on the course which was really useful as there are a few tricky holes. The weather was pretty rough over the 2 days and I held my game together quite nicely posting rounds of 73-72 to end up finishing T-7. I was quite happy with that having never played before.
So next week I am off to Frilford Heath for final qualifying. Should be a good week. I am rooming with my brother for the week at "The Dog House" which sounds interesting to say the least. Should be fun.
Also looking forward to The Masters starting this week. Interesting to see how Tiger plays after his break from the game. I am like most people and believe he will be the one to beat!
That's all for now...
Update next week

Season opener...Europrotour Qualifying.
Hello Everybody,
I just realized I haven't posted anything for over a month. I've spent the last month practicing all aspects of my game.
The work i have put in on my technique with Steve Astle feels great. We highlighted areas which needed improving through my 2009 season stats through strokeaverage.com. Interesting to point theses areas out as you find out your strenghths and weaknesses.
I have been getting a few rounds in recently which is great. Competetive games with other pros and younger brother Jamie always get the juices flowing.
Never good to lose to your brother. bragging rights and £10!!!
The gym still feels like my second home. I have spent most of the winter months getting ready for the season and I'm feeling strong.
The season starts next week on the Eurorptour at Slaley hall and it seems like no matter how much you plan it arrives before you know it. I am exctited to get out there and compete. The event is Qualification for the 2010 season.
Speak to you all next week
